How Diwali crackers are made

Diwali crackers are basically made of black powder. Black powder is commercially known as gunpowder. It is mixed with different chemicals during production which provides dazzling array of colors and visual effects when it cracks in the darkness of night with a sound which accompany the burst.

The selection of chemicals is done very carefully as it determines the color displayed with the burst of Diwali crackers. All the above materials are packed in the casing and a long fuse is added to it for safe ignition.
